Gyaanzone.com, a Mumbai-based online education platform, has raised $45,000 (approx. Rs. 30 lakh) in its seed round of funding from GBIM Technologies, which has over 10 years of experience in IT and education sector.
Founded in 2014 by Sultan Ansari, Gyaanzone.com is an online education gateway which facilitates students with flexible learning opportunities by providing access to hundreds of Indian schools, colleges, universities, exams, courses and other distance learning programs.
The services provide by Gyaanzone ranges from selecting the most appropriate college to job procurement, making faculty decisions or helping people pick and choose from best potential options, among others.
With the new funding coming from GBIM Technologies to the education company, it will continue its services of providing updated and enhanced educational functionalities with more extensive program and course information. It will now be providing better personalized services and some other expanded services to the students.
It is also going to launch its own mobile application and is planning to reach out to alumni networks in tier-II and tier-III colleges along with launching some e-learning modules for the students. Currently, the company’s services are limited to students and colleges in and around Mumbai and Pune.
The company’s release states that Nirlep Patel and Dharmesh Patel, founders of GBIM, have great faith in this new venture and believe that through their investment, the company will be in a position to offer over 60% of India’s population with a positive leading edge in educational empowerment.
