Brand licensing startup Black White Orange, has raised ₹2 Crore in a fresh funding round from Collaborative Licensing Ventures LLP. The money raised in this round will be used by the company to expand its business.

The company, which is just about a month old, had earlier raised an undisclosed amount from Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan Ventures. Thus, this makes the second round in just a month of the company’s formation.

Black White Orange will use the fund raised in this round in creating original IPs in different segments, building a strong team across functions, acquisition of iconic international brands and to open up the international market for Indian IPs.

Founded by Bhavik Vora, the startup currently offers services in retail, distribution, syndication, brand consulting, brand loyalty strategies and creative solutions both within India and overseas. Moving ahead, Black White Orange is looking to create its own, custom labels and brands in the kids as well as youth space.

Commenting about this, Bhavik Vora, chief executive of Black White Orange, said,

Our business thrives on innovation, and currently there is so much untapped opportunity in this segment. We are constantly looking at collaborating with like-minded people who can not only add tremendous value to our business, but also come on board as strategic partners in growing this business.

We are in the business of brand licensing and IP creation and the foundation of this business is our ability to create high-quality creative assets, in order to translate these to various products, thus bringing the brand experience for fans on the ground. As our portfolio expands, there will be a constant need to build on this foundation and to also acquire cult international properties and bring them to India.
