Rumours regarding HTC’s upcoming phablet, the Google Nexus 9 have been on the rise, and with HTC sending invites for its Double Exposure event in New York, these rumours strengthened. Now, confirming the same, HTC’s Nexus 9 has appeared before FCC for regulatory approval.
FCC, on its website, has dropped a small, but quite relevant information regarding the tablet. As per FCCID.NET, Applicant’s complete name has been designated as HTC Corporation, based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The device applied for, has been identified as a Tablet.
The device has been named 0P82100 by HTC Corporation and while the nomenclature may seem odd at first, but that is exactly the name which has surfaced in previous leaks.
As for the specs, Nvidia was already forced to list out the details during the Samsung v/s Qualcomm suit. Nexus 9 packs a NVIDIA K1 processor, running on 2GB of RAM, Wi-Fi and cellular options. In stark contrast from previous plastic designs, this Nexus will be wrapped around in an aluminium frame.
