Challenging the much popular and convenient dropbox, the icloud drive announces the ability to share files across devices and platforms. iCloud Drive, the cloud storage service announced by Apple at WWDC, will be accessible from web, according to the latest iOS beta.
The company had officially announced that it would work on iOS, OS X and (surprisingly) Windows, but according to a snippet discovered in the third iOS 8 beta by 9to5Mac, it looks as if you’ll be able to access your files from iCloud.com as well.
A new setup screen presented in iOS 8 beta 3, released earlier today, shows that Apple is also planning to expose iCloud Drive on the web. Although people were surprised by native PC support, bringing iCloud Drive to the web enables even more flexibility, bridging any OS with a modern web browser.
