
Apple, just announced that now, users will be able to install third party keyboards in iOS 8. These can be installed from the updated app store.
These third party keyboards will run on a separate secure sandbox and will not be allowed access to anything except the text inputs which the user provide.
The keyboards may ask for permission to access Networks so as to download a more updated version, as and when it becomes available.
