Last month, Huawei launched its flagship smartphone named Mate 9. Earlier this week, it announced Mate 9 Pro, a high-end model in the same series. Now, the company has launched a low-end version of the phone, dubbed as Huawei Mate 9 Lite.
The phone sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a 2.5D curved screen on top. Under the hood, it is powered by the company’s own Kirin 644 octa-core processor with Mali T830-MP2 GPU.
It also packs 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. There is another model of the phone, which comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also has a microSD card slot which supports memory expansion up to 256GB.
In the camera department, it offers 12 MP primary camera with LED flash and also has a secondary camera of 2 MP. On the front, it features an 8 MP sensor, allowing users to capture selfie. The main sensor has 1.25nm pixels and phase detection auto-focus that should work in 0.3 seconds.
On the software front, the smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based EMUI 4.1. The device also features a fingerprint sensor as an added security option. Connectivity options on the phone includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. It is powered by a 3340mAh battery,
The Huawei Mate 9 Lite comes in three different colours, including Gold, Silver and Grey. However, the company has not yet announced the pricing and availability details.
