Coolpad, the China-based smartphone manufacturer, which re-entered the Indian market earlier this year, has today launched its latest entry-level smartphone — Coolpad Cool 3.

While the exact date of availability for the smartphone is not yet revealed, the company has said that it will be available for purchase through both online and offline channels. Priced at ₹5,999, the smartphone comes in  Midnight Blue, Ruby Black, Ocean Indigo, and Teal Green colour options.

The smartphone comes with several features, which are quite impressive when compared to its competitors at this price point. It comes with a dewdrop display, dual rear cameras, and a fingerprint sensor for security.

As for the specifications, the device features a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a screen resolution of 1500 x 720 pixels and is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor from Unisoc. It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot that enables storage expansion of up to 128GB.

Coming to the optics, the Coolpad Cool 3 sports an 8-megapixel camera on the back side along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for taking selfies.

It comes with an usual set of connectivity options, which include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.1, among others. It runs Android 9 Pie operating system out-of-the-box and is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

At this price range, the smartphone will be competing against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 6A, Honor 7A, and Nokia 3, among others. Last month, Coolpad had launched three smartphones in its Mega-series in the Indian market.
