Though Samsung is not planning to unveil its flagship device at MWC 2017, the Korean giant has placed all bets on its tablet release. The tab, likely to be called the Galaxy TabPro S2, running Windows 10 tablet was recently spotted during FCC certification. And the said source has given us a good look at complete specifications of this tablet.

According to the said document, the TabPro S2 will feature a 12-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD display having a resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels. The tablet will be packed with an Intel Core i5-7200U 7th Gen “Kaby Lake” processor clocked at 3.1 Ghz. It will also come equipped with integrated Intel HD Graphics 620.

The said device will also include 4 GB of LPDDR3 RAM along with a storage capacity of 128 GB, expandable through an SD card slot. Also, it might also come equipped with a SIM card slot in some configurations. Those with a SIM slot will possibly feature built-in LTE connectivity as well. The device will be offered in two variants, one with Wi -Fi technology and other with both Wi-Fi and LTE connectivity.

On the camera front, Galaxy TabPro S2 will have a 13-megapixel rear camera offering 4K recording quality. A 5-megapixel front-facing lens has also been embedded in the device, thus, providing an easy access to video calling and conferencing.

The document further detailed two USB 3.0 Type-C ports, Bluetooth 4.1, LTE and Dual band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n/AC Wi-Fi support for connectivity options. Moreover, the tab will offer support for Samsung S-Pen and keyboard cover as well.

The tablet will be powered by a massive 5070 mAh battery supported with a 25W Turbo Charger. The full specifications for the device will only be revealed at MWC 2017 and might take on Apple’s iPad. The tablet sector has registered a huge decline in demand over the last few years. As such, it could be in Samsung’s interest to capitalize on this market opportunity with a new, engaging tablet of their own.

The ‘V’ at the end of the model number further hints that the tablet will retail through Verizon. The device recently also received Bluetooth certification and presented a Verizon logo on the sketch of the tablet in the FCC documentation.

The Korean giant is also expected to unveil the Tab S3, which is expected to include a 9.6-inch display and Snapdragon 820 processor. The inclusion of 820 processor means that it should fall in the mid to high segment and the prominent difference between these two devices is that one runs Android and the other Windows 10.
