A couple days ago, Microsoft finally released a HUGE Windows 10 update on PC for Fast Ring Insiders. There had been a lack of a preview build for mobile Insiders at the time. But lo and behold, the Redmond giant has today treated us with the unexpected launch of a Windows 10 Mobile build for Fast Ring Insiders.
The said Windows 10 Mobile build, numbered 14998, has been accidentally pushed out to some Insiders on the Fast Ring. The most peculiar thing about this update build is the fact that it hasn’t been delivered with its usual naming characteristics. Windows Central reports that the new mobile Insider build has been tagged as “Localization for English” and it takes longer than expected to download.
Further, the delivery of the Insider build at 2:00 am Redmond time corroborates the accidental nature of the said release. Microsoft usually delivers the update for its operating system to Insiders first thing in the morning. The delivery timing of this update is evidence for the same being a leaked Insider build in disguise — due to name and download size.
Also, if Microsoft would’ve officially pushed out a preview build for Windows 10 Mobile user then it an official announcement for the same would’ve also been released. But there is currently no available update on the same on the website or the Feedback Hub. This means that the update has been tagged incorrectly and rolled out to users when it shouldn’t have been. So, we’d suggest you not to install the update on your Windows 10 Mobile devices. You ask, why?
(cont) your phone until you reflash it. More bad stuff could happen too if the full build gets pushed. Stay away from it.

Several users, who’ve installed this wrongly tagged update, have issued warnings saying that the build is potentially unstable. There is also the possibility that the installation of this update might render your phone’s operating system useless. You’d no longer be able to join the Insider community and install the next officially released build. To do the same, you’d need to downgrade your current Windows installation to the original one which shipped with your device.
Thus, even if you see this update on your Windows 10 Mobile, we suggest you skip this one to save yourself some unnecessary trouble. We’re currently waiting on more info on this accidental release and will update you with the specifics.
