Today, Lenovo has launched a new smartphone in its K-series in the Indian market. Dubbed as K6 Power, the 4G smartphone will be available exclusive via online retailer Flipkart, for a price of Rs. 9,999. It was first showcased at IFA this year.
The K6 Power features a 5-inch full HD IPS display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It has a scree to body ratio of 69.1 percent. It is powered by a Snapdragon 430 chipset, clocked at 1.4GHz, along with Adreno 505 GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone also supports memory expansion, allowing you to use microSD card of up to 128GB.
As of the camera, there is a 13 MP Sony IMX258 rear camera with phase detection auto focus and LED flash. It also comes with an 8 MP front facing camera with wide angle lens and beautification mode. Lenovo K6 Power runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based company’s own Vibe UI on top.
The phone comes with a big 4000mAh battery, which aims to power the phone throughout the day. It is rated to deliver up to 96.5 hours of music playback, 13.6 hours of video playback, 48 hours of voice calls, 12.6 hours of Web surfing, and 649 hours of standby time.
There is also a reverse charge option on the phone, which enables the smartphone to be used as a power bank. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11bgn, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS with A-GPS. The phone is 9.3mm thick and weighs around 145 grams. The smartphone supports Dolby Audio and TheaterMax, a proprietary VR technology.
Its good to see that the company has decided not to bring 2GB RAM variant of the phone, given that all the phones in this price range offers 3GB RAM. At the price tag of Rs. 9,999, the Lenovo K6 Power will compete against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Coolpad Note 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 3S Plus.
