Let me ask you — what is a Startup about? And what do you need to do to start up and polish your ideas? Well, there is one such organisation that has been aimed at providing you with the necessary knowledge and support to let your spirits fly free and understand the basics of starting your own business.
Headstart Network Foundation was established with the vision to ‘Change the World through Entrepreneurship’. It has been among the first few, to have driven informal and formal meets of aspiring and inspiring entrepreneurs in India. It facilitates entrepreneurial learning, hiring, marketing insights and peer mentoring amongst startups and addresses their issues through flagship initiatives such as Startup Saturdays.
And now after almost eight years, Headstart has reached a milestone worth celebrating and what’s better than a Centennial Startup Saturday Meetup with some of the biggest visionaries of the Indian startup community.
The first Startup Saturday Mumbai (#SSMUM) took place on 10th May 2008 and has been organised on the 2nd saturday of each month since then. And now, we will be celebrating the Centennial event(#SSMUM100) in Mumbai on 20th August 2016, which will mark the 100th second saturday.
#SSMUM100 will be all about celebrating the success of entrepreneurs who have been a part of this flagship initiative since its inception as well as about renewing our commitment to continue being the premier platform for aspiring and early stage entrepreneurs to develop and launch their startups.
The Centennial meetup will be divided into multiple sessions, including how to give your startup a Headstart?, Fireside chat with women entrepreneurs and the future of India’s startup ecosystem. The meetup will be graced by the presence of some of the premier names and faces of the Indian startup ecosystem — Aditya Mishra (Co-founder Switchme), Kunal Shah (Founder Freecharge), and Vikram Vora (Founder MyDentist), among others. While the initiative of empowering the women of the nation will be shouldered by Shraddha Patil (Co-founder The Mentorpreneurs), Naiyya Saggi (Founder BabyChakra) and others.
