According to major music streaming service and platforms, gaming tunes are some of the most popular types of music one can find. With this in perspective, Spotify today announced the release of a new gaming portal that makes finding awesome tracks easier than ever.

“Starting today, we’re giving you all of your favorite gaming music and soundtracks — all housed in a single category,”

Spotify noted on its site.

“Find curated playlists like Power Gaming, RetroWave and Top Gaming Tracks as well as hundreds of gaming titles, covering everything from nostalgic 80’s mono tunes to the hottest new releases — and we’re only just getting started.”

Until now, game enthusiasts and other people who loved tracks from games had to manually search for tunes they liked. This was obviously and chore for most. Spotify’s new gaming portal will make this unnecessary waste of time go away now.

The gaming portal features soundtracks and playlists created by Spotify and other gaming outlets and personalities. These include many world-renowned gamers and even personnel from tech websites. You can enjoy anything from old 8-bit game tunes like Zelda, Mario etc, all the way down to the now trending superb game beats like the Grand Theft Auto V, Halo series etc.

The tracks that are available for you to listen to also come from all sorts of platforms. These include iOS, Android, desktop and PlayStation 4. You may even find an occasional track from other platforms. According to Spotify, this is just the start of what could be one of the hottest services on the network. The company aims to maximise the number of tracks it is offering, adding more platforms and games from all eras.

All in all, the new service started by Spotify has already come onto the good side of most users, especially gamers. It will be interesting to see how the gaming portal evolves in the future.
