In another delay (this is the second time now), Windows 10 Mobile update on the existing Windows 8 phones has been pushed to February now. Microsoft, through an email notification, announced to all its partner companies that the latest version of Windows will be arriving a bit late to the Windows phones.

Windows 10 Mobile for Windows 8 devices was scheduled for a January release, which was already a delayed timeline. And this time, not only is the release date pushed back, but also the service update for Lumia 950 and 950 XL devices, which is released every month, too has been delayed.

The reason for the delayed launch ? That same old testing clearance for the OS, which Microsoft is yet to achieve. It is learnt that the Windows 10 OS for the handsets might have cropped up a few issues, which are yet to be resolved by Microsoft before the release.

This is not the first time that Microsoft has pushed back the release date of the OS. Scheduled for a December launch at first, the arrival of the OS was then rescheduled to January. The perk that Windows phone users might get out of this delay is that the OS will come with the latest service update and would be less buggy. The service update for the OS too, is scheduled for February, which makes the timing of the release just about perfect.

The Microsoft devices that are confirmed to receive the Windows 10 upgrade are as follows: Lumia 430, Lumia 532, Lumia 535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830, Lumia 930 and all Windows 8.0-based phones.

Microsoft has already timed the announcement of the release wrong, twice. Hope this time Microsoft gets it right and does not push the dates even further. *Fingers crossed*
