HomeLane.com, the Sequoia backed online furnishing marketplace, has today announced the appointment of Mahesh Shah, founder of one of the largest modular kitchen brand Elenza, as its Chief Design Officer. Shah will assume the office with immediate effect.

Mahesh founded Elenza in 2004, after identifying the importance of modular furniture years ago early in the growing urban households.
He has played a key role in shaping the customizable furniture industry in India. Since then he has explored the theory and practice of customizable furniture design in his own work as well as in others.

The startup recently received a staggering $50 Million in a Series B round of funding, led by Sequoia Capital among other investors. It had earlier raised a $4.5 Million Series A round led by Mohandas Pai’s Aarin Capital.
