Aryaka, a startup providing cloud computing services, has announced that it has raised $16 million in Series E round of funding. The current round is led by Nexus Ventures with participation of Trinity Ventures, InterWest Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures and Presidio Ventures.
With this freshly raised capital, the company is planning to scale up its sales infrastructure in response to its rapidly growing family of Network and Application Acceleration as-a-Service offerings.. Till now, the company has raised total amount of $81.2 million.
Aryaka offers a service named Aryaka ONE, which is an integrated platform to address all WAN needs, including optimized connectivity of geographically dispersed offices, Application Delivery, and Cloud Networks. The consumers of the company include Fortune 100 as well as small- and medium-sized companies, including eBay, HubSpot, JawBone, Hainan Airlines, etc.
It currently has about 250 employees and serves 300 cities across 50 countries. Other services of the company includes CDN-as-a-service, Web Application Delivery as-a-Service, IP Application Delivery as-a-Service.
The services of the company bypass the public Internet, enabling customers to achieve faster, more secure, more stable, and lower-cost global access to cloud data and services.
It was founded in 2009 by Ajit Gupta, Rajeev Bharadhwaj and Ashwath Nagaraj with a mission to make WAN and Internet connectivity better for the distributed enterprise. Although the company is headquartered at Milpitas, California, it also operates from Bangalore.
