Twitter has announced that it has acquired Niche, a social marketing startup that has developed a free, cross-platform analytics solution, apart from providing creative social media marketing strategies.
Niche has been assoiated with a Twitter and Vine for quite some time now. The start-up helped build a TV commercial, which went popular due to the fact that it was made entirely out of vines. Financial terms related to the deal were not disclosed.
Twitter, announcing the acquisition said,
As we continue to invest in the growing media ecosystem, it’s important to provide a wide variety of tools for content creators to distribute and ultimately manage all of their content. To that end, we are excited to share that we’ve signed an agreement to acquire Niche, a provider of software, community and monetization services for the growing creative community.
Niche provides free, cross-platform analytics on desktop and mobile. In addition to the technology , it helps creators develop new revenue streams to support their budding careers, by facilitating partnerships with over 100 brands and agencies — themselves valuable members of the Niche community. THe startup claims to have over 6000 members in its community of creative developers.
