Gionee is all set to launch the World’s Slimmest smartphone breaking its own record of the Elife S5.5 with the all new Elife S5.1 which is 5.15mm(0.2-inch) thin.
The Gionee’s Elife S5.1 dimensions are 139.8mm×67.4mm×5.15mm (5.5 inches x 2.65 inches x 0.2 inches). Before this the 5.1mm thick phone came to light at the TENNA certification in July with the model number GN9005.’
The slimmest phone in the world will rock a 4.8-inch HD AMOLED display just a 0.2 inch smaller than its predecessor, Elife S5.5 , and resolution is also reduced from 1080p to 720p. The device is expected to run on Snapdragon 400 CPU with a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor and Adreno 305 GPU with 1GB of RAM combined with a battery of 2100mAh.
The rear camera is of 8MP while the front one is of 5MP. Now the storage Capacity will be of 16GB with NO SD CARD SLOT. This can prove to be a major drawback in this smartphone. The device will run on Android 4.3 and Gionee’s own Amigo 2.0 interface.
