Much like SpaceX’s safe return to flight has put it back on track, the Galaxy S8 will now define Samsung’s future. The Galaxy S8 is a flagship which puts immense pressure on the Korean giant. It now not only has to prove itself but also needs to meet the eyes of its trusted users as well. Thus, while we’re waiting for the official release, numerous leaks for the same are surfacing online each day.

Today, GSM Arena has got its hands on the official 3D renders of the Galaxy S8 from a smartphone case maker. The said source has provided precise design and measurement details for both of the upcoming models — S8 and S8 Plus. And we cannot be more psyched for the phablet -sized bezel-less displays, without the prominent home button at the bottom. The yellow portion of the render refer to the display size on the devices.

As for the dimensions, the Galaxy S8 will measure 140.14mm x 72.2o x 7.30mm. This smartphone will be slightly shorter and thinner when compared to the Galaxy S7 (142.4mm x 69.6 x 7.9 mm). It will also be wider than the previous phone, so as to include the large 5.7″ screen. This is the rumored size of the display for the Galaxy S8, which might eventually pack a screen larger than Galaxy S7 Edge. The increase in screen size is said to be in compensation for the loss of the Galaxy Note 7 — packing a 5.7-inch display.

On the other hand, the Galaxy S8 Plus will measure 152.38 x 78.51 x 7.94mm. Though the new smartphone will be slightly taller, wider and thicker than the previous S7 Edge (150.9mm x 72.6 x 7.7 mm) but that’s to pack an exceptionally larger display. The Galaxy S8 Plus will now, according to the said leaks, expected to include a 6.2-inch or larger screen.

Also, one can notice that Samsung intends to not join other technology giants in replacing the microUSB port by the new USB Type-C port. The renders don’t show off the latter, and also there is a lack of the headphone jack at the bottom — which was expected to remain. But, one thing has surely been confirmed by these renders. The new smartphone renders shown off in adverts for the new AMOLED screens is the upcoming Galaxy S8. They look absolutely stunning and we cannot wait to try one out ourselves.

The Korean tech behemoth is expected to unveil the next-gen Galaxy S8 at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona, towards the end of February. Further, the rumor mill suggests that a small batch of select users will get an early hands-on experience with the flagship phone. The launch is expected to happen at an Unbox event in March or April, and it will go for sale at $849 or more.
