In first indications of what could be the start of a series of integrations of its businesses across the globe, Newscorp has today announced, that high-end luxury homes from Proptiger would now also be available on MansionGlobal.com, the media giant’s global luxury real estate web site.

ProTiger is backed by News Corp, with the latter holding a 35% stake in the real-estate listings platform. MansionGlobal.com has been launched by Dow Jones & Co. in 2015, which again, is a unit of News Corp. PropTiger was founded in 2011 by Dhruv Agarwala and Prashan Agarwal and has raised $30 million so far, with an additional amount raised by selling off 5% stake to Newscorp last month.

Proptiger guides customers through the entire process of buying a home, including search, property identification, price negotiation, documentation, home loan facilitation and post sales services.

Mansion Global, a real-estate site for the rich, has high-end property listings from brokerages and developers around the world with news and data available in different languages, including English, Chinese and Spanish. The listings are combined with global market analysis and relevant news from premium publications such as The Wall Street Journal to empower users to make informed decisions.

Mansion Global states its mission as “empowering international buyers and now, Indian home-buyers, to make sound purchase decisions by using property search and related news”. PropTiger.com also provides analysis, information and insight to potential real estate buyers to empower them to make well informed purchase decisions.

Dhruv Agarwala, CEO, PropTiger.com and Makaan.com, said:

Luxury homes across India have witnessed an appreciation in prices over the last few quarters, despite the overall residential market remaining very soft. By listing our high end properties on Mansion Global, PropTiger.com and Makaan.com are now targeting a wider audience of potential NRI buyers through the unique offerings and user experience that MansionGlobal.com offers.

Luke Bahrenburg, Head of Sales for Mansion Global, said,

Mansion Global has already shown tremendous traction among a global, elite audience, and we are thrilled to work with PropTiger to enhance our offerings in a very important market. We will soon be launching several new enhancements to the site to build on the momentum.

However, do note that this might just be the start of a series of other possible integrations, wherein we may witness listings from Newscorp’s companies across the globe on one, singular, global platform.

The U.S. Media giant, post its split-up, has been focussing heavily on investments in the field of Big-Data and analytics. It also owns VCCircle network in India, largely due to its financial data platform VCCEdge. A similar platform is run by WSJ in the U.S., and we could thus see integration of data from Indian Companies on VCCEdge on the larger, global database of WSJ.
