You could literally buy anything off Amazon. And no better time than the Amazon Prime Day on the 15-16 of July this year ! In simple words, Amazon Prime day is the equivalent of Black Friday for prime users. But Amazon seems to have some competition this time. As per reports coming in from RetailMeNot, the eCommerce giant will rival against 250 retailers on the prime day in it’s fifth year of the event .

That seems to be a major step up from last year when the company saw just 7 retailers offering deals on their own back in 2015. Retailers are quite aware that offering an alternative sale can lure in the customers.

For instance Walmart is prepping up for Prime day by extending the duration of the deals to two days from four unlike Amazon’s current 48-hour Prime Day 2019 event. Walmart is said to offer it’s biggest sale of the summer starting July 14th until the 17th.

Walmart deals will include an HP 15.6″ HD Touch Display Laptop for $429 (currently $447), and the Dyson Multifloor Bagless Upright Vacuum for $154.00 (currently $175).

Target doesn’t seem to want to left behind either. It’s Target Deal Days will occur concurrently with the Amazon Prime Day featuring thousands of deals. The deals would range from home items, apparels to it’s own brands.

As per RetailMeNot’s survey, 64% of shoppers are hoping that Amazon provides better deals on items this year, 58% want a greater selection, and 54% want more time to take advantage of deals. Nearly all also say they hope the overall Prime Day shopping experience this year is improved. Start prepping and don’t miss out.
