After teasing the smartphone for over a week, Oppo has today officially launched its latest budget smartphone in the Indian market — Oppo K1, making it the first K-series smartphone from the company to launch in India.
The Oppo K1 in the company’s home market — China, last year. In India, Oppo has partnered with Flipkart for selling the device, which will go on sale from 12th February at 12 PM. Priced at Rs. 16,990, the smartphone will be available in two colors — Piano Black and Astral Blue.
The Oppo K1 sports a 6.41-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. For durability, the company is offering the Gorilla Glass 5 on top of the display. It features a waterdrop notch at the top and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the device is powered by a 2.2GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor with Adreno 512 GPU, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
Coming to the camera department, the device comes with a dual camera setup on the rear, featuring a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. As for the front side, there’s a 25-megapixel AI-enhanced camera on the front for selfies.
In the software department, the device runs on Oppo’s own ColorOS 5.2 user interface, which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating and is powered by a 3600mAh battery.
