Just when we’re a couple days from Apple’s annual developer extravaganza, an Apple Music executive who gained immense prominence for her stage presence at the company’s events has decided to leave, according to latest reports.

Apple Music’s Head of Global Marketing Bozoma Saint John, better known as Boz, joined the Cupertino giant when Apple bought out Beats Music back in 2014. She started off by working behind the scenes to negotiate deals with wildly popular music artists for exclusive launches on Apple Music. She is well-recognized for signing marketing deals with leading musical artists like Mary J. Blige, Taylor Swift, and other big names.

Prior to joining Apple, she was working as the Head of Music and Entertainment Marketing at Pepsi Co and was responsible for inking a $50 million sponsorship deal with Beyoncé.

Not only is her stage presence captivating, she has also been recognized as one of the ‘Most Powerful Women In Business’ by Black Enterprise magazine. She made her way into the final list to join the ranks of other leading African American women including the likes of musical artist Beyonce, WNBA President Lisa Borders, Debbie Roberts president, McDonald’s East Zone of the U.S among others. She even appeared front and center on the cover of the magazine as well.

And that’s not all. Her work ethics and dedication towards Apple Music also helped her bag multiple other accolades. She was even featured in  Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Next Gen conference and Billboard’s Power 100 list.

We’re not sure of the credibility of the report but Apple will possibly lose one of its few female executives – that too a widely popular one, especially when the debate about gender diversity has heated up yet again in the Silicon Valley.

Before leaving this page, you should check out her appearance on stage at last year’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). She demoed the updated Apple Music design and features while also persuading the huge audience to sing along to the Sugar Hill Gang’s Rapper’s Delight. Don’t believe me!?
