The first few days of a brand new year are the days to reflect on the previous one. Something Steam did just a couple of days back. Now, Amazon seems to be following in the same footsteps by publishing a list of highest selling games of the year. On this list of best selling games, Pokemon Sun and Moon for the Nintendo 3DS are in the first and second place, while third place goes to the long-awaited Final Fantasy 15.
The list you’ll find below hasn’t been filtered based on country, region, or date, so it properly represents an overview of how well Amazon performed overall during 2016. That said, it also gives a general idea as to how well certain games sold, especially those for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. More meticulous readers will likely find that there are no PC titles on the list as pretty much every single one of those are sold via either Steam or Origin.
