redmi 4

Xiaomi, the Chinese company which launched in India through Flipkart and recently saw itself slipping to being the third largest — 8.1% to be precise — market share holder in India, has something new for its lately dwindling Indian market.

While a lot of Xiaomi fans and tech enthusiasts wait for the India launch of its Redmi Note 4 device, the company is reportedly planning to test the device by calling out geeks and tech enthusiasts who will be helping in this program. While Xiaomi hasn’t specifically mentioned as to what it wants you to test, leaked reports suggest that it could well be the Redmi Note 4.

Oh and BTW, the company has given this testing program of sorts, a name as well, and its called “MI EXPLORER CHALLENGE”.

If you do get involved in this challenge, you might get this unknown device for free. Virtually anyone can register for this and can assess the upcoming phone by the company.

Registrations for the challenge are open till DECEMBER 30. For registering in the challenge you will be requiring an Mi account, which you can easily create using your e-mail or phone number. There is no particular eligibility criteria for the same, but of course, skills like outstanding photography, video making and writing will be appreciated.

When logged in you, will be given 20 questions based on previous Xiaomi launches and some of them on photography, which are required to be answered in 5 minutes. As simple and clean as that.

As for the Redmi Note4, the device was already launched in China in August this year, and has since taken a reasonably long time to enter the Indian market, creating much logical speculations, that the phone might be an outdated one, as soon as it gets launched.

As for hardware specs, the upcoming gadget will be equipped with Deca-core 2.1 GHz Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 processor which will be one of the latest spec. amongst the current series in the market. Along with this, the phone will have Full HD display and 2.5D curved glass on top.
