Keeping in mind the core values of working as a team with integrity and professionalism along with the ultimate aim of “Taking Technology to the Society”, Technovanza has grown over the last 16 years to become one of the most popular and awaited techno-management events in the country. Technovanza aims to educate people on the principles of engineering and spreading the knowledge of technology to the society at large. The event is scheduled to take place on 23rd December in Mumbai.

It is the Annual Techno-management Festival organized by VJTI.  To the under-privileged students in schools the social initiative, their social initiative “Pratigya” inspires them to become innovative engineers of tomorrow and to make Mumbai a better place to live, “Mission Mumbai” gives innovative solutions as future engineers to empower the society.

The eminent lectures will be given by Dr. Bjarne Stroustrup (MD, Technology Division at Morgan Stanley), Padma Bhushan Dr. Jayant Narlikar (Founder of the Conformal Gravity Theory), Dr. A.S. Kiran Kumar (Chairman, Indian Space Research Organization), Padma Shri Anu Aga (Chairperson and founder trustee of Teach For India), Alan Mamedi (CEO, Truecaller) and Dr. John Mather (Senior astrophysicist at NASA).

The event will witness a Startup fair which is an initiative to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in young India. It is an endeavor to connect the budding entrepreneurs to venture capitalists and to provide them with the assistance required for their ventures to achieve success. The Startup Fair provides a platform for innovative startups from all over the country to get in touch with thousands of potential customers. More than 300 internships will be up for grabs. Last year, over 50 start-ups participated in the Start-up fair.

Technovanza is also introducing a new event, startup panel discussion, where founders of some of the most successful startups from all over the country will be invited. The topic for the panel discussion would be “Indian Startups: The big bang theory”. Expected panelists for the same are Amit Singh (Co-founder of Headstart), Sunil Mahale, (Vice President of Nutanix) and Sandeep Agrawal, (Co-founder of Shopclues).

Other events include Maker’s Square, a national event to put up the projects and exhibits ranging from civil, mechanical to robotics, chemical, physics experiments etc., RCMO (Rubik’s Cube Mumbai Open), Robowars, Fast and Furious, among others, which can be checked on its website.
