LG has now officially launched its flagship smartphone, LG V20, in India. The phone, priced at Rs. 54,999, will be available online exclusively via Amazon and through retail stores.

The LG V20 is built out of AL6013 metal, and is MIL-STD-810G rated for shock (516.6). As per the company’s claim, the smartphone can withstand a drop from a height of four feet. The smartphone is compliant with the US military standard test.

The phone comes with a 5.7-inch QHD (1440×2560 pixels) IPS Quantum Display, and a secondary display – just like the LG V10 as well. Like the V10, this secondary screen will still be used to easily view notifications and alerts in outdoor situations. It also has the functionality to display the complete notification and reply to it with just a tap of a button.

Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. It has 64GB internal storage and supports memory expansion of up to 2TB using a microSD card.

On the imaging front, there is a 16-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, along with an additional 8-megapixel secondary rear camera with f/2.4 aperture. It also comes with a 5-megapixel front camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and an f/1.9 aperture.

The dual camera setup also features a Hybrid Auto Focus(HAF) that combines three AF mechanisms — Laser Detection AF, Phase Detection AF and Contrast AF — for both photo and video.

The device is powered by a 3200mAh battery, with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology. Connectivity options on the phone include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, Infrared, and USB OTG. The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and the UX experience has been bumped to version 5.0+

It is claimed to be the first smartphone to feature 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC capability that delivers a superior audio experience to smartphones.

LG has announced an exchange offer for a new LG V20 which gives “minimum assured Rs. 20,000 off” – the offer is valid on select smartphones only. The phone comes bundled with a free SF coated back cover. The LG V20 will also be bundled with a free B&O PLAY headset worth Rs. 18,000.
