A companion app for video games has become somewhat of a trend due to it’s initial success. It’s another way of pushing players deeper into a game by providing an extremely personalized experience of handling certain bits of a game through a smartphone. These bits may include features such as in-game trading, upgrades, team building, etc. And for the first time, EA Sports has a featured companion app alongside it’s latest release — FIFA 17.
FIFA’s loyal fans now have a reason to be psyched, as the highly anticipated companion app is now live on the Google Play Store, the Apple App Store and even the Microsoft Store(which is kind of a pleasant surprise!). The USP of the application is its brand new Squad Building mode that allows you to trade players from your club while you indulge in building unique squads and completing customized challenges.
Another significant aspect of the FIFA 17 Companion app, is that you’re now capable of keeping tabs on the in-game market activity even as you’re on the go. While using the Market Transfer functionality, you can list any and all items from your club and also indulge in bids on new players for your squad. Along with this, and many generalized in-game aspects, you can finally build your own personal FIFA Ultimate Team(FUT).
With the FIFA 17 Companion app now being available on all mobile platforms, here’s how you can use the app to play the game on your consoles/PCs. Check out the steps below:
- Login to FIFA 17 on your console or PC.
- Navigate to FIFA Ultimate Team mode and create your FUT Club.
- Formulate a FUT security question and answer on your console or PC.
- Log in to your EA Account from the FIFA 17 Companion App on your mobile device.
- And voila! You’re all set to play remotely as well. :)
The FIFA 17 Companion application, launched mere hours ago, has been received well by audiences and currently holds an average of 4.0 rating out of 5 on the Play Store. For Android users, the app will require you to run OS version 4.1 or higher for smooth functioning.
