If you’ve been keenly waiting for the old Top Gear trio to make a return to your television screen, then you’re in luck my friend. And you’re anticipation is gonna peak even more as Amazon has announced the launch date of the wildly anticipated car show — The Grand Tour.
The trio of hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are making their scintilating return via Amazon Prime Video on the 18th of November — when the first episode of the series streams. New episodes of ‘The Grand Tour’ series will be released every week on a Friday, going forward.
Commenting on the announcement of the launch date for the show, Jay Marine, Vice President of Amazon Prime Video(EU) said,
Customers have been desperate to find out when they can watch their favorite team back on screen, so we are very excited to announce the launch date of one of the most globally anticipated shows of 2016. The guys have been having a blast filming the show around the world and we can’t wait for fans to see it weekly beginning November 18.
In addition to this, the trio has already signed a three year landark deal(36 episodes) with deal with the e-commerce giant and have been travelling to exotic locations around the world — filming the first series. The Grand Tour is Amazon’s attempt to bank upon the popularity of the trio, after their exit from BBC’s successful running Top Gear.
There is, however, the added concern of this wildly anticiapted show only being available to subscribers of the Amazon Prime service. There is also currently no information whether the show will be available in countries where the subscription is not available at the moment. Prime viewers can watch the show via the Amazon video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV, mobile devices and online at www.amazon.com/thegrandtour
The release date of ‘The Grand Tour’ was announced with the launch of this bombastic trailer. Enjoy!!
