Enigma’16, a one day event is being organised on 3rd September’16 in Pune to encourage students to start their journey as an entrepreneur in the area of cyber security. The event will be managed by a group of highly motivating and professional students of SCIT.Data Security Council of India (DSCI) is an organisation formed by NASSCOM to focus on data security. DSCI has established its chapters in 11 cities to generate awareness about data security and privacy; create and foster a network of security and privacy professionals who can share their views through this platform. The chapters help the members build appropriate links with industry experts, work with government on policy issues, and work with other stakeholders in areas of concern.

DSCI Pune chapter headed by Dr. Arvind Tilak has taken the initiative to promote Pune as hub for cyber security. It is pertinent to establish such hub there has to be an ecosystem of talent and technologies in and around Pune. Pune which is already known as Oxford of east due to huge number of prestigious educational institutions has immense student community who provided a platform can do wonders. One such example is by the students of COEP who made satellite which was launched recently by ISRO.

With such objective the members of Pune chapter headed by Dr. Arvind Tilak got associated with Symbiosis Centre of Information Technology(SCIT) headed by Dr. Dhanya Pramod to launch country’s first conference specifically targeting students on cyber security named Enigma. More than 250 students across 15 colleges in Pune, Kolhapur, Aurangabad and Mumbai have registered for the event. It tries to cover various aspects of cyber security which involves critical infrastructure and also includes an option for students to pitch their business ideas to the audience.

The eminent speakers to grace the event includes: Kiran Deshpande (President TIE, Guinness book record holder) Aditya Kulkarni (Eminent cyber crime lawyer) Prashant Pathak (CEO of Valency Networks), Scott Tucker (President Aptegra Inc), Partap Roy (Co-Founder BizKonnect) and Mohammed Ameen (Head of IT Kimberly Clark).
