Ever found the need to run into a restaurant and hastily search for a power outlet while you’re outside, enjoying the cool breezy day or buying a birthday gift for your girlfriend!? Well, we all the know the answer to that — Yes.

Guess what!? This monsoon, you wouldn’t need to search for any power outlets or carry a bulky power brick with you because KFC is bringing to you its first-ever tech savvy Meal Box – ‘Watt a Box’.

KFC in partnership with Blink Digital is launching a meal box that will help you charge your phone on the fly. This is the first ever 5-in-1 meal box that has a power bank built right into it. Cool, isn’t it?

So, you no longer have to run around from shop to shop in search of a power outlet. You can now sit and charge your phone at KFC while enjoying a filling and economical meal.

Lluis Ruiz Ribot, CMO, KFC India adds that,

With the launch of Watt a Box, we have gone a step ahead and also introduced an element of utility into the box. Each one of us spends a considerable time on our smartphones daily and the phone battery going dead is almost like a nightmare! No longer so with Watt a Box around.

KFC, with this fun and quirky proposition has picked on the nerve of the customers who are too attached to their smartphones. You will always find their phone beeping, or ringing or flooded with messages. And the competitive restaurant market is now banking upon this opportunity by pimping up a mundane meal box.

The customers now require add-on facilities alongside quick service to attract them to these fast-food restaurants. And restaurants like McDonald’s have been using this strategy with their Mini Meals boxes for far too long. The kids are always way too excited to find out which toy will they find inside the box this time.

KFC has tried to do the same — attract hungry and time-sensitive customers and provide them with a personalized customer experience using a power-bank laden meal box. Good call, KFC!!
