TableHero, an intelligent operating system for small businesses, has today raised $1 million in its seed funding round, which was led by growX Ventures.
The round also saw participation of FreeCharge founders Kunal Shah and Sandeep Tandon; IVFA partner and ex-CEO of Network18 Haresh Chawla; Powai Lake Ventures; and GlobeVestor.
With this new cash infusion, the company is looking forward to product development of it’s existing suite of tools. It is also planning to expand its team of engineering and product design. TableHero will initially be launching its services in the US with a focus on West Coast cities such as Portland, Seattle, the Bay Area and Los Angeles. It will be targeting restaurants as its early adopters.
Commenting about this development, Deap Ubhi, CEO of TableHero, said,
I believe the quality of the team and a world-class product play are the most vital roles during the early stages of growth. The early founding team at TableHero is a group of the most talented engineering and product design folks that I’ve had the pleasure to work with. The first product in this stack will be an intelligence-driven, one-click website maker for restaurants.
The Bangalore-based company, which was founded by Deap Ubhi, Chetan Vaity, and Aman Prakash Mohla, claims to be reimagining the technology stack for small local businesses by building an intelligent small business OS.
The OS includes a suite of products that will vastly simplify website and digital presence management; reservations, bookings and appointments; and payments and customer loyalty.
The company’s first product will enable small local businesses to build a beautiful, responsive, mobile-friendly website in one-click and never have to worry about managing updates.
