Exploride, a hardware start-up from Kochi, which is working on a product that turn’s your car into a smart car with a visually dynamic HUD display, has cross its initial goal of $100K (in fact has already raised over thrice of that) on crowdsourcing platform IndieGoGo.

The company’s initial goal was to raise $1,00,000 through the platform, but has raised $3,88,411 till date from 1,352 people. There are still 10 more days left before the campaign ends.

We have launched our pre-order campaign in IndieGoGo. Our initial target was to raise $100,000 via pre-orders, but we reached that goal in 5 days.”

Exploride is a futuristic head up display for any car. You can access music, maps, calls, texts and more all in one place. It reduces distractions and keeps your focus on the road with its transparent display , gesture and hands-free voice controls.

It is claiming to provide safer & smarter way to use maps, listen to music, call, text or access infotainment in your car. It combines cutting edge display and gesture-recognition technology to provide hands-free access to maps, calls, texts, notifications, music & the on-board diagnostics of your car.

The device comes equipped with a quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory, IR sensor, microphones and an OBD II adaptor to access dashboard metrics from the car.

It can currently be pre-ordered from IndieGoGo for about $269. The company is expected to start shipping the device from January 2016.

Founded by Sunil Vallath, the start-up is based out of Startup Village, Kochi and has raised about $65,000 in seed funding from a group of angel investors.
