Bringing innovations to the gaming sector could be awesome if a bit frustrating at this time. But that isn’t stopping Microsoft owned game developer Press Play, (known for its 2013 sidescrolling platformer Max: The Curse of Brotherhood) from bringing more to the table.

The Denmark-based developer is bringing what it calls an ‘open development’ phase which allows gamers like you and me to contribute in helping the studio create its next masterpiece.

In a blog post today, Microsoft announced that Press Play is opening up this new development initiative from today. It will now provide the gaming community with a chance to give feedback and help Press Play create the studio’s next game.

The studio has been working on three games for a while now and it wants you to help them develop its biggest game yet. Here are the games as listed in the blog post:

Project: Dwarka
An action-packed first-person co-op game, set in a dark fantasy world. Team up with a group of friends to become a band of legendary dwarven treasure hunters, and explore a procedurally generated underworld filled with gold and monstrosities.

Project: Karoo
A physics based multiplayer construction game set in an open world. Build complex machines out of simple blocks—you can build any type of vehicle you can think of, and use it to go on adventures.

Project: Knoxville
A 3rd person multiplayer action-survival game in which players must both work together and against each other. It goes further than any game when it comes to dynamic relationships and spectator interaction, and makes you wonder: “How far will you go to survive?”

Initially, you get a chance to vote for your favourite concept among the three and “the whole studio will rally around whichever project ultimately gets chosen,” the blog post reads.

The games seem to currently be under the prototype phase as Press Play’s site has gameplay demos for each one of them. Not just choose, though, after the most popular platform has been determined, Press Play says that you will be given the opportunity to assist the developers in creating the game from time to time, in your own way.

[…] Some of the things that Press Play is planning as part of this process include sharing early builds of the game and having community members join meetings and project reviews via Skype. And of course, that’s in addition to regular forum activity, lots of video, and frequent blog updates.

A teaser of the listed games is also shown here. Be sure to check it out and vote for your favourite platform.
