Instagram Desktop site has been given a makeover, a rather with bigger images and a cleaner look while viewing photos and enlarging them.

The popular photo and video sharing network’s step is in sync with it’s mobile apps. The most noticeable change is that profile pages now display three large images in each row of a user’s feed, instead of the five smaller images in each row as of now. The profile images will be circular. The company has rightly done away with a lot of  clutter like unnecessary borders and edges.

The design changes were much needed, after all, the mobile apps have had such features since ages. The design will be present throughout the site, including the search pages.

The changes have already begun rolling out and should be available to all users by the end of the week.

The facelift suggests that the Facebook-owned service seems to be getting serious about the user’s Desktop needs.
