While we still have to wait for at least two more weeks to see what HTC’s new flagship, the One M9, would look like, certain leaked images by Phandroid and German blog MobileGeeks.de have given us more than a clear picture about HTC’s biggest Android release yet.

Before you go on and take a look at those leaked images, be aware of the fact that HTC has made sure to bring down any sort of excitement you might had have. In fact, if you are a One M8 owner, you would hardly see any difference, except for the removal of that odd-looking dual-lens camera and bit of a work-around with the button positioning.

Note that third button below the pair of volume buttons on the right. That’s the power button, which on the One M8 was located on the top of the device. This is a welcome re-positioning, considering the massive size of M8 and the difficulty to reach out to the top button. However, as said earlier, including this changes, this device is rather a revised One M8, instead of being a new M9.

Also, these are a few images captured by MobileGeeks.De, when the phone appeared, for a short-while, on an e-com site (it was taken down thereafter)

But then, all Droid phones look the same these days. And what;s under the hood, is what matters more. As for that, here’s a quick list down of what the rumour mill has suggested so far for the One M9:

  • A 5-inch 1080p display
  • 2Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 CPU (that figure may be 2.8 Gigs too)
  • A 20.7 Mega pixels rear camera
  • 2,840mAh battery
  • 3 gigs of RAM
  • and of course….Android 5.0 Lollipop, wrapped up in HTC Sense.
