The Social Messaging App Line has announced payment system, called Line Pay, which will allow users to transfer money and purchase items directly from the app. It  enable users to make secure and convenient payments through their smartphones and promises to make shopping easy for its users.

Currently, Line Pay only supports payment on the Line Store, but it is soon expected to allow its users to buy from other affiliated services including music,  ecommerce etc.  Line may also introduce a variety of promotions, offline purchasing of goods and money transfers between other Line users which will make the app more comprehensive.

Line Pay users will need to register their credit cards before using the service. Line Pay supports some popular cards like American Express,JCB, Master Card, and Visa cards without imposing limits on the cards per registered user.

The trend of in app- payment will bring a boost to app services, as other popular services like Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat are also working on the same. On the other side, the popular app Mint has also introduced a similar feature to pay bills through the app.
