xiaomi, xiaomi china

It just became world’s third largest smartphone vendor, and rumours just came in, that it may soon hire Spotify’s Donovan Sung, but that’s not it ! Xiaomi is now planning to launch, a 9.2 inch tablet, putting it in direct competition with Apple’s recently announced ( and not so fantastic ) iPad Air 2

As per the test results on GFX bench 3.0, the tablet is nothing short of monstrous. it packs in a 1.2 GHz quad core  SnapDragon 401 SoC, powered by a 1 GB RAM. Those specifications are pretty awesome, considering that it’s a tablet.

As far as graphic performance is concerned, Xiaomi has already impressed us with the hugely popular, MiPad (only for China), which rides on a. Tegra K1 processor. Now, this new tablet is powered by Adreno’s 306 GPU, giving you breathtaking gaming on a huge 9.2 inch display.

Device’s availability or release date aren’t confirmed yet, but looking at the nomenclature which we found on GFX Bench, the tablet may launch on November 8, 2014.
