Redmi Note 7 Pro

Xiaomi has today launched its much anticipated next-generation Redmi Note series smartphones in India — Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro. While the Redmi Note 7 was first launched in China last month, the Redmi Note 7 Pro made its debut today.

Both smartphones come in two variants based on memory configuration. The Redmi Note 7 is priced at ₹9,999 and ₹11,999 for the 3GB + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage respectively while the Redmi Note 7 Pro costs ₹13,999 and ₹16,999 for 4GB + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage models.

The smartphones will be available in three color options — Red, Blue, and Black. While the Redmi Note 7 goes on sale from 6th March, the Redmi Note 7 Pro will be available for purchase from 13th March through Mi.com and Flipkart. Later, both the devices will be available through offline channels as well.

The Redmi Note 7 series features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. They also feature a 2.5D curved glass on the back with the same Gorilla Glass protection.

While the Redmi Note 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor, the Redmi Note 7 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by the Snapdragon 675 processor. Both the smartphones come with microSD card slot for expanding the phone’s storage capacity.

In the camera department, the RN7 features a 12MP + 2MP sensor while the RN7 Pro comes with a 48MP + 5MP setup on the back. They also support several AI-based features for enhancing the photography experience. On the front side, both the phones come with a 13MP snapper with support for AI Face Unlock feature.

Both the smartphones are running the company’s own MIUI 10 operating system out-of-the-box, which is based on Android 9 Pie. They support Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 /5GHz) Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The driving force of these smartphones is a 4000mAh battery, which also supports Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology.
