Amazon Prime Reading, another complimentary service for the Amazon Prime members, has now been launched in India. The service has been a part of Amazon Prime in the US since October 2016.

Prime Reading lets Amazon Prime subscribers read from hundreds of eligible ebooks for free of cost. Currently, Amazon is offering books in the category of literature and fiction, non-fiction, romance, comics, and Indian language ebooks under the Prime Reading model.

There are a few popular titles as well, which includes Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone by JK Rowling, Immortals of Meluha by Amish, One Indian Girl by Chetan Bhagat, and Operation Deep Strike by Rahul Badami, among others.

Commenting on the launch of Prime Reading in India, Rajiv Mehta, Country Manager, Kindle India, said:

Prime Reading builds the habit of reading. Prime members can now read their favourite titles at no additional cost by conveniently downloading and reading ebooks within minutes. They can discover and read new and bestselling titles from a variety of authors at no additional cost. Ebooks under Prime Reading include all genres like Literature & Fiction, Travel, and Romance.

Amazon Prime members in India can start exploring Prime Reading on their Kindle ebook reader or through the Kindle app for Android and iOS device. There’s a dedicated Prime Reading section on the Amazon India site to see all the available titles.
