Gionee has today launched its latest smartphone — Gionee S10, at an event in China. This new smartphone, which comes with dual camera setup on the back as well as the front, comes in 3 variants — S10, S10B, and S10C. While both the Gionee S10 and S10C will be made available for purchase in China from June 9, the S10B will be made available from Friday itself.
Coming to the Gionee S10, the USP of the phone is the camera department. It features a 16-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel sensor at the rear with 6P lens and f/1.8 aperture. Even on the front, it comes with a dual camera setup including a 20-megapixel sensor along with an 8-megapixel sensor.
The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM. It comes with 64GB of inbuilt storage and is powered by a 3,450 mAh battery.
The Gionee S10B, on the other hand, also features a dual camera setup with a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors at back and a 16-megapixel sensor at front. It features a 5.5-inch full-HD display and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. This one comes with 64GB of in-built storage and has a large 3,700 mAh battery.
Now, coming to the Gionee S10C — the least expensive smartphone of the three. The smartphone comes with a single 16-megapixel sensor at the back and a 13-megapixel sensor at the front. No dual camera setup on this one. It features a 5.2-inch HD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 427 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage and houses a decent 3,100 mAh battery.
All the three smartphones run on the company’s own Amigo OS, which is based on the Android operating system. The company has not yet shared the connectivity options available on the smartphones.
The Gionee S10 has been priced at CNY 2,599 (approx. ₹24,400), while the S10B costs CNY 2,199 (approx. ₹20,700). The least expensive of the three — S10C, is priced at CNY 1,599 (approx. ₹15,000).
