moto z2 force

As per latest rumors, Lenovo is currently working on the next device for its Moto Z series, which will succeed the last’s year release of ‘Moto Z2 Force’. Thanks to 3D renders from Android Authority in collaboration with Onleaks, we now have a gist of the device and its specifications. The most significant changes as noted from the images is that the new smartphone will adopt back the headphone jack missing in the other the Z series devices — Moto Z and Moto Z Force.

Moto Z series smartphones are known for their modular capabilities popularly called as Moto Mods. The tiny accessories not only add functionality to your device but also serve other specific needs. The images for the Moto Z2 Force comes as a disappointing device for users who spent their precious bucks on the idea of a future device minus the headphone jack.

Other than the headphone jack, the handset is expected to feature a dual-camera setup on the back and a redesigned solid state finger scanner. The images further reveal a dual-LED flash on the front and a textured power button adjusted below the volume buttons. The overall design of the handset resembles the original Moto Z and Lenovo’s G series, however, the caps on the top and bottom aren’t present in the succeeding version. Instead, a band flows all around the top and bottom of the device.

Not many aesthetic changes have been introduced so as to keep the Moto Mods compatibility intact with Lenovo’s future phones. This seems pretty justified considering the research and innovation that goes behind developing a single Mod is massive. And it will surely be pretty allusive to think Motorola will just phase out this concept of modularity — which at least seems to be working out for them.

Further, other leaks suggest that the smartphone will not be exclusive to Verizon but will be sold by T-Mobile and Sprint as well. The speculation has been tipped by renowned leakster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks). This development is quite unusual for Lenovo who has been loyal to Verizon. It is apparent that through new channels, Moto Z2 Force is aiming for larger sales — obviously. Users previously skipped on the device because of the carrier restrictions and Moto isn’t down for the same this time around.
