Over the past couple months, Google has turned the Play Store into the hottest playground for testing new features. Be it as big as upgrading the primary UI or as small as showing install sizes on the app cards, the tech behemoth has been hard at work. And today, another experimental feature has surfaced within the app store on Android.

This new test feature introduces keyword suggestions at the top of search results within the Play Store, reports Android Police. The suggestion boxes, though different in design, resemble those appearing in Google search results on desktop or mobile. They show add-on terms for the query you’ve entered in the search box instead of display correlating app suggestions — which appear in the form of cards at the end of app pages.

These search suggestions imbibe the new green-colored UI theme of the Play Store which has also recently been introduced after months of testing. This new user interface has started rolling out to Android users in the form of server-side changes. The search suggestions displayed atop the app cards displayed in the results make them easily accessible and can be selected to find the exact app you’re looking for.

In addition, Google has also started rolling out similar ‘colorful’ suggestions for image results on the Google search application on mobile. It previously only displayed text suggestions but is now trying to jazz up the look with colorful suggestions in search results. And not only that, the same is also being extended to the Play Store as well.
