Automobile geeks, it is time to sling on your backpacks and hightail it all the way to Chennai. The Aston Martin DB11, which was recently launched in the country, will be participating in a roadshow in the city. The roadshow is part of an attempt by the company to organize previews across the country.
Chennai is the second last go to destination for getting an exclusive, hands on look and feel of the car between the 19th and 20th of October. Once done here, the DB11 will go for a final show in Hyderabad between 23rd-24th of October. The cities which have already hosted the luxury automobile include, Mumbai, Pune, Goa and Bengaluru.
Coming back to the car, it would look quite familiar to those of you that have been following the James Bond series. The Aston Martin DB11 is actually based upon the DBX concept car built for Spectre and amalgamates a masculinity with a sleek and graceful design.
The car is made of a bonded aluminum structure that is significantly more space efficient. The automobile also features a brand new 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged engine that is mounted near the middle of the front portion of the car. You also get a rear-wheel drive V12 engine capable of a staggering 600 bhp.
The engine comes with a ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox that lets the car zap from 0-100 kmph in merely 3.9 seconds. And you can take this beast all the way up to 322 kmph.
Speaking about the car, Andy Palmer, Aston Martin CEO said,
DB11 is the absolute embodiment of what an Aston Martin should be and we have worked tirelessly to ensure DB11 combines both exceptional design with the latest technology throughout.
The DB11 has been priced at Rs 4.27 crore (ex-showroom, India) and is available for purchase through Infinity Motors. You can expect delivery between January-end or early-February 2017, after placing an order with the company.
