Facebook has been working upon a lot of things lately. And frankly speaking, some of those things are literally fascinating. Wheather it is Zuckerberg’s Jarvis like AI or his personal goal of automating his home, things are pretty exciting around Facebook’s Founder-CEO. Which is why when the Facebook CEO talked about a “Big Week” ahead, it made everyone sit up and take notice.
In his Facebook post, Mark Zuckerberg said,
Getting ready to share something we’ve been working on for a couple of years. Big week ahead!
The post was enough to attract a whole horde of Facebook-ers, who descended over Zuckerberg and started pelting him with questions, offering their own take on what they thought the “Big Week” would be all about. Jarvis, which is what everyone has taken to calling the AI the Facebook CEO is working on as his personal project, appeared to be a favorite. Also mentioned multiple times, was the Zuckerberg’s automated home
However, it likely isn’t going to be the automated home or Jarvis. In response to a user’s question about whether the picture accompanying the post was taken at the Zuckerberg’s home, the Facebook CEO said,
We actually do have a whiteboard in our home, but this was taken at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative office.
Sparking rumors that the announcement was likely to be associated with the Chan Zuckerberg initiative. The rumors were further strengthened when in response to a user’s request to spill the beans, he said,
It’s for the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. You’ll have to stay tuned for more 🙂
So we know that much at least. The next week is going to be Huge for Facebook and for the Zuckerberg couple as well — and it is the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, that is going to be at the center of things.
In case you are unaware of it, The Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is a limited liability company that was founded by Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan 1 December 2015. The initiative seeks to advance human potential and promote equality in areas such as health, education, scientific research and energy. So we can expect a brand new program in one of these categories. Considering that Zuckerberg said that they had been working upon the initiative for the past couple of years, it is likely to be something pretty interesting.
Another thing that we were able to take away from the post, was the fact that Jarvis and home automation may also be on the verge of being released — perhaps, even within the year itself. Meanwhile, the next week certainly promises to be an exciting one. Stay Tuned!
