If you’re a big foody like me and take-out meals from a nearby restaurant are your preferred choice, then you might need a food delivery app to order the same. But, Google via a blogpost has today announced that it is integrating India’s top food delivery services right into its search results(isn’t this awesome!?).

Now if you’re hungry and search for a nearby restaurant that is eligible for delivery from either Zomato or Swiggy, then you’ll see an option to “Place an order” in the search results itself. You can then just go ahead and tap on it to choose your favorite delivery service. Once selected, it takes you to their website to place and complete the order process.

In addition to dining in, Google is also making it easier for you to plan a dinner out as well. You can also book a table with Google Search by clicking on a partner’s link, which will then redirect you to their site to make you complete your reservation.

It has currently partnered with Dineout and Bytplus to complete these dinner reservations, but plans to add more partners in the coming months. This feature is now live for a total of over 11,000 delivery partner restaurants across 10 cities in India.

In addition to this, Google has also been expanding the scope of its search results by integrating more services into it day after day. It has recently also launched health search —  which allows individuals to easily search about health related issues and diseases — in India. The health search could then lead you to another website for complete information on the same.

This is Google’s first step towards building an ‘app-less’ commerce infrastructure. It has recently also started offering direct flight searches for Jet Airways, SpiceJet, and Air India for domestic flights. The Google search results with Rich Cards and AMP pages are also the first place to get live cricket scores and Olympics updates in India. It is now also allowing to find your smartphone directly from search results.
