While Ola is trying hard to retain its pole position in the cab-hailing space of India, the company is having hard time retaining its senior level management executives. According to reports from ET, two senior executives at quintessential positions — Cab Management and Products — have decided to quit.

Pradeep Dodle, who was the head of cabs category management has quit the company along with Harsha Kumar, who was the associate vice president of products, and is currently serving her notice period.

Under the leadership of Pradeep Dodle, the company was able to form partnership and strategic alliances with some of the leading companies globally in this space, such as Lyft and Didi Kuaidi. He was also responsible for establishing the “Ola Prime”, a high fare luxury cab service offering.

Harsha Kumar has been working with the company since last two year. In her tenure, she launched various apps for the company, including consumer app, driver app, Ola Money wallet as well as Ola’s B2B solution and Ola’s Support Platform.

A couple of week ago, Ola’s head of payments business – Rushil Goel also resigned from the company in order to start his own journey of entrepreneurship.

Senior executives are quitting the company at the time when the company is focused on strengthening its senior level manager to make its portfolio stronger, to take on a much heavily backed rival in Uber. For this, Ola had previously appointed Rajiv Bansal, former CFO of Infosys as the new finance head. Last month, it hired former LinkedIn and Goldman Sach executive Sunil Shirguppi as VP of Engineering.

It also shut down its food delivery and hyperlocal delivery services in order to focus on its core offering – cab hailing service and its payments business.

The company has been coming with new offerings to ensure its leadership position in the market. Recently, the company announced that its cabs will now come equipped with ‘Auto Connect Wi-Fi‘ that will connect user to the cab’s Wi-Fi as soon as they enter the cab.
