GirnarSoft, the parent company to India’s top auto portals such as CarDekho.com, Gaadi.com and Zigwheels.com, has announced the appointment of Amit Monga as the Deputy Director of its car auction platform called CarDekho Auctions which is being developed for the online auction of used cars.
An engineering grad from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Amit has over six years of experience in building and scaling ventures. Prior to joining CarDekho.com, he had co-founded Fitrrati which is a SaaS-based tech tool which helps online users in knowing their right size while shopping from fashion e-stores.
The technology has been deployed across all major fashion e-tailers including Myntra, Jabong, Snapdeal, Trendin, Voonik, Freecultr, among others. He also co-founded eSportsBuy.com, which is one of the first sports & fitness e-commerce portals in India, and led its successful acquisition by Snapdeal.
He has also served as the Business Head for Universal Sportsbiz’s Accel Partners-funded Collectabillia.com, which is India’s first celebrity merchandise company.
In his new role at CarDekho, Amit will build unique online car auctions platform leading a team of 70 members. The company has partnered with new car dealerships and top leasing companies to auction their used cars on its platform.
Individuals who want to exchange their old vehicles while purchasing new cars can also get better value for their old cars through CarDekho Auctions. With 250+ active registered buyers in Delhi-NCR and 3000+ buyers pan India, it has a huge dealer network on its platform.

Before Amit, GirnarSoft has made a number of other important appointments in the past few months. These include appointments of Umesh Hora, founder of The Mind Cafe India and former Zomato executive, who joined as CFO, Shobhit Mathur, former associate director to lead strategic initiatives ; and former Yatra IT head Pawan Chawla as the head of its Information Technology department.
GirnarSoft also recently received an investment from Google Capital with participation from existing investor Hillhouse Capital to further bolster its technology, R&D, and expansion within and outside of India.
