eKincare, which digitizes the medical records and aims to provide better health insights, has raised 2.2 crore INR in Pre-Series A funding. The funds were raised from existing investor Bitkemy Ventures with participation from Maheshwari Investment. Pvt. Ltd., and other HNIs s like Anshoo Gaur (Indian Angel network), RamaKrishna Reddy and Sandeep Seerapu.

Hyderabad-based eKincare was founded in 2014 and had raised INR 2 crore in seed round from Bitkemy Ventures last year in January.

eKincare offers an easy to use and free platform to digitize the medical records of an individual. Its analytics team decipher those records and convert them into an easy-to-read format (color-coded, graphical history and timeline). This also helps the users identify potential health risks.

We have seen a tremendous excitement and interest from corporates leverage our platform for their employees, keep track of the overall organization’s wellness metrics and maximize the ROI out of their wellness budgets,

says  Kiran Kalakuntla, Founder & CEO, eKincare.

Kiran further added that the latest round will be utilized to further improve the B2B offering, expand to other cities and hiring for operations in new cities.

The beauty of the eKincare solution is that it solves the core data challenges faced by patients, doctors and providers in an easy to use manner. In fact despite being consumer-facing, it is a business-to-business model that is profitable from day one,

said Karan Maheshwari from Maheshwari Investment. Pvt. Ltd. on their investment in eKincare.

eKincare has also partnered with renowned healthcare organizations such as Thyrocare and offers a comprehensive overview of health to the users and motivate them to take necessary steps towards improving their health.

Since there is absolutely no limit on the data stored, the platform also allows multiple profile management to help people keep a tab on the health of their ageing parents anytime from any place.

In addition to being an online repository of medical records, eKincare also allows the user to share his medical records with a trusted individual or a panel of doctors with a simple click away.

The company also offers discounted medical deals through its network of 1500+ partner locations by which users can go for various medical tests and check-ups. The platform even reminds and schedule the medical appointments for timely immunizations, follow-ups, updates etc.

There is one more significant feature in eKincare platform called Blood SOS which allows the users in emergency cases to access eKincare’s database of matching blood donors who are within 10 Km radius.

One can access his/her profile on eKincare through multiple platforms including web platform through the desktop or through mobile via its Android or iOS app.

eKincare aims to leverage the combination of technology, data, and partnerships to drive innovation in the field of health care and help individuals to assess, track and stay informed about their health.
