The rumor mills have been churning out for quite some time now about the upcoming flagship devices S7 and S7 Edge of Samsung. And this time, with less than a week to go for MWC, we may be looking at the real images of the two much-anticipated phones by Samsung, leaked by the famous Evan Blass.
The pictures show the front and back of the devices in all the variants of silver, black, and golden. And yea, they are displaying the date as Feb 21, Sunday, the day on which Galaxy Unpacked event of Samsung is scheduled to take place.
It has now also become clear from the images that S7 indeed looks a lot like its predecessor S6, at least in the looks. It also retains the 5.1-inch screen size of S6.
However, S7 Edge is expected to sport a larger screen (5.5 inches) as compared to the 5.1 inch of S6 and S6 Edge. Another set of leaked images by a Weibo user show the front, back, and side view of the Galaxy S7 edge and its curved display.
On the feature front, S7 series is expected to bring back the micro SD slot and water resistant capability, something which was missing from S6 series and had left the users disappointed.
The non-removable batteries are expected to continue, however, we may see the battery capacity increase from 2550mAh and 2600mAh to 3000mAh and 3600mAh for the S7 and S7 edge respectively.
Going by the teaser video of Galaxy Unpacked event, it may not be surprising to see a touch of virtual reality with the new flagship devices.
For now, we may safely assume that we have essentially seen in exhaustive details how the S7 and S7 Edge are going to look. Of course, many other details will be revealed soon at the Mobile World Congress, which is scheduled to take place in Barcelona from Feb 21-Feb 25.
