Singapore-based VC firm, Jungle Ventures has roped in senior executives from eBay and Google to strengthen its leadership team.
Vaishali Cooper, who is known for her role at eBay and Komli Media, has joined as the Chief Financial Officer. Menka Sajnani has joined as Director of Corporate Development. She was the regional manager of the new business team at Google Southeast Asia and prior to that was the Senior Vice President at HQ Capital, a global alternative investment manager with US$12 Billion in assets under management in private equity and real estate.
Jungle has also brought on board James Lin, former Financial Controller at eBay as Head of Finance. The three new appointments together bring a significant experience of over 40 years working with some of the leading Fortune 500 companies across the globe. Their experience is important for Jungle as they continue to build a long-term and strong investment platform.

Vaishali Cooper will be a part of the Jungle Management team and will oversee the financial, accounting, tax and compliance functions at Jungle. At the fund level, she and her team will be responsible for adherence to all compliance, regulation and financial reporting of Jungle’s various funds. On the Portfolio front, she oversees the performance of the investee companies and provides operating support as required.
Menka will be responsible for building corporate, strategic and investor relations both for Jungle and their portfolio companies. Menka’s unique experience as a limited partner and as a consultant to startups and small medium business whilst at Google will be a great asset to Jungle.
James Lin will be the Head of Finance across all the Jungle funds. He will be in charge of portfolio financial reporting, LP reporting, due diligence on new investments and also providing operating support to portfolio companies in terms of process improvements and accounting.
Jungle Ventures usually invests and helps to build tech category leaders in South-East Asia, South Asia- primarily India and Australia/NZ.
Its portfolio includes companies such India based LivSpace, Pokkt and Zipdial (acquired by Twitter), Singapore-based travelmob (acquired by NASDAQ-listed HomeAway) and CrayonData, Malaysia-based iMoney and CatchThatBus, Thailand-based Pomelo Fashion and Australia-based Edrolo amongst several others.
More recently, it invested in the hotel aggregator segment in the South-East Asia focussed Red Doorz, and Commeasure, a hotel booking platform allowing both online as well as offline booking of hotel rooms.
